Program areas at First Light

In fiscal year 2022-2023 (July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023), First Light provided shelter and case management to 712 individuals, including 106 children. Three hundred fifty-two adults participated in Project Healthy Minds group sessions to address the root cause of their homelessness. One hundred three emergency shelter guests were placed into more stable living environments. Each emergency shelter guest and supportive housing resident worked with a qualified professional to develop a plan of action to address issues that led to homelessness, and each was referred to necessary treatment and services to overcome obstacles to self-sufficiency. First Light continued to provide effective wraparound social services and to implement proven strategies of trauma-informed care to empower emergency shelter guests and supportive housing residents to rebuild their lives.
