In fulfillment of its mission to build and celebrate diversity and community through the arts, Boston Celebrations, Inc. Produced an internationally renowned new year's eve festival and Boston harborfest to celebrate independence day. Since 1975, Boston's first night first day has been a new year's celebration of artistic performances, the wonders of the season and the beginning of a new year. Entertainment and special attractions were focused in copley square and back bay; including cultural and musical performances in various indoor venues, fantastic ice sculptures, light displays, the people's procession, and family fireworks on Boston common. Boston harborfest takes over Boston for 3-5 days to celebrate Boston's history and maritime heritage. It includes an arts festival, restaurant tasting and live entertainment.
