First Tee-Central Florida

We were formed in 2009 and went live in 2012 thus we are celebrating 10 years of serving youth in central Florida. We are a youth development and youth mentorship nonprofit whose focus is to help kids/teens become better kids/teens and ultimately productive members and leaders in our society. A more polished purpose is to positively impact the lives of central Florida youth by providing educational programs that build Character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. We utilize nine core values that are inherent to the game of golf: courtesy, responsibility, judgement, respect, sportsmanship, confidence, honesty, integrity and perseverance. We incorporate nine healthy habits in our curriculum: energy, play, safety, vision, mind, family, friends, school and community. We connect with youth 4 ways: golf course program(15 golf facilities), school program(135 elementary and k-8 schools), community center program(35 community centers) and our girls golf program(13 clinics/events). We support youth in lake , orange, osceola and seminole counties. In 2021 we connected with over 100,000 kids/teens. Our golf course program saw 688 kids/teens of which 46% were diverse and 36% were female. Our girls golf program had 345 girls join us.
