Description
Flagstaff International Relief Effort improves health and development through community-based programs that embrace cultural diversity and heritage. FIRE facilitated community development by importing yurts (gers) to Mongolia, supporting the factory's growth, creating jobs, and sharing the ancient Kazakh tradition of foxhunting with golden eagles. Despite long-term COVID-19 lockdowns, FIRE maintained an office in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with a staff of two people. FIRE implemented "Hepatitis Free Mongolia" to eliminate hepatitis C in Sukhbaatar province and conducted screenings.
