In 2023, Floodlight continued collaborations with numerous news organizations, including national outlets such as The Guardian, NPR, and Grist, as well as local partners like the Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, Texas Tribune, and Louisiana Illuminator. Floodlight's investigative and accountability-focused news stories contributed to a cumulative viewership of over 4 million since the organization's initial launch. Notably, Floodlight's reporting led to significant policy changes and corporate accountability. For instance, following their collaboration with the Los Angeles Times, port authorities implemented pollution fees for natural gas trucks. Additionally, their investigative work with NPR, which exposed unethical practices by power company consultants, resulted in the resignation of two power company CEOs and was recognized as a finalist for Harvard University's prestigious Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting.
