Florida Chapter of the American Academy Pediatrics aims to improve the health and welfare of Florida's children through its mission. Comprised of over 2,600 members, FCAAP supports pediatricians and pediatric specialists while promoting the well-being of newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. FCAAP hosted its annual conference in the fall of 2022, which offered limited in-person attendance due to COVID-19 restrictions. The conference saw a total of 475 people who participated either in-person or virtually.

the society annually gives scholarships/awards to students who have expressed an interest in Pediatrics and other children's programs.
