Florida Emergency Medicine Teaching Alliance (femta) provides experienced Emergency physicians to the jackson memorial health system/university of miami miller school of Medicine to act as faculty at the holy cross hospital Emergency residency program. Femta's Teaching curriculum includes multiple modalities of learning; simulation, small group sessions, review and lectures. Lectures are held at the ryder trauma center or at the gordon center for research in medical education. Rotation locations include jackson memorial hospital/ryder trauma center, university of miami hospital, miami va hospital and holy cross hospital. Rotations at these different hospitals provide residents experience in private, academic and county hospitals, and prepares them for either academic or private careers in Emergency Medicine.
