Program areas at Florida League of Mayors
Throughout the year, flm held a series of events designed to bring together Florida's Mayors to discuss relevant and important topics impacting Florida's municipalities. These events included workshops, zoom calls, regional meetings, and other forums. Topics covered this year included grant writing guidance, bipartisan infrastructure law and the emergency bridge loan program. The flm received approximately 645 registrations in total for all these events held during the year.
The business affiliate program was designed to join efforts together of both Florida's Mayors and businesses. Businesses that join this program have the opportunity to promote themselves, meet with Mayors, serve as a resource for the flm membership, participate in monthly webinars, include their website link on flm's webpage, receive recognition at flm events, receive lists of event registrants and participate in networking opportunities. Three levels of participation are available at different pricing - platinum, gold and silver. The business affiliate program had 1 participant at the end of the reporting year.
Again this year, the Florida League of Mayors and Florida business watch teamed up to offer city catalyst grants. The grant program was used to support projects or initiatives that helped build community and/or helped to enhance the lives of citizens in a city. Grants were awarded to 3 cities in the state of Florida, 2 at $2,500 and 1 at $2,375.
