Program areas at Florida Supreme Court Historical Society
Host statewide events that honor the Supreme Court of Florida including presenting the lifetime achievement award to individuals that have shown exemplary service to Florida's Judiciary. The event ranges from 400 to 500 individuals in attendance.
Projects that honor and preserve the rich and important history of the Florida Supreme Court including the individuals that served as justices. This includes commissioning official Portraits of the Justices, recording oral histories and the preservation of Chamber papers.
Educating the legal community and the citizens of Florida about the importance of a strong and independent judicial branch. Including publishing of books, magazines, regular email broadcasts, social media postings, exhibiting and hosting an informative website on Florida' highest court. The circulation of the printed Mazagine is 1,500 and each email broadcast reaches over 18,000 addresses.
