Program areas at Food For His Children
2023 accomplishments by program areas: Livestock 61 training workshops, 4999 preventative goat treatments, 1097 home visits, 78 goats given; Agriculture 61 training workshops, 26 Farmer motivators provided farm implements and 1x1 coaching, 1058 agriculture site visits; Health and Environment 1540 reusable sanitary pads and 538 pairs of underwear given to menstruating girls to help them stay in school, 61 health trainings, cancer and basic health screenings, 127 families/762 people chose to participate in the health insurance offered by FFHC; Entrepreneurship and Economic Development 110 adult and youth students attended Street Business School Program with 92 graduating with new businesses, 3 new savings groups, $22,031 saved in 11 FFHC savings groups; Training offered on 16 different topics in 378 workshops; Faith Development 18 new volunteer Faith Assistants joined FFHC, 1053 pastoral care visits, 536 watched evangelism films, 2082 attended Christian seminars, 244+ Bibles and devotion books distributed, 247 marriage counseling sessions, 1530 in Bible studies, and 26 baptized; Case Management met 1x1 with with families 2213 times, working on 482 new goals, with 36% achieved in 2023. The activities completed by FFHC team members in Tanzania serve the families and communities across 13 project sites in Karatu, Tanzania. Construction began at the Farm and Innovation Center. The infrastructure (septic, clean water, underground electric, site grading) was completed along with the training pavilion, restrooms, feed storage barn, 3 goat sheds, generator house, welcome center, parking area and walkways. The FIC is now used for training and is able to accept tourists.
