Program areas at Food for the Hungry Canada
FH focuses on international development and relief projects by partnering with local communities churches and governments as they walk alongside the vulnerable as they strive toward sustainability. Recognizing that each community faces unique challenges as well as opportunities FH is committed to an integrated holistic approach to development including priorities such as health education agriculture gender equality leadership development and disaster risk reduction.
The charity also informs and educates the Canadian public about poverty and effective development. FH believes in facilitating innovative long-term solutions and providing everyone an opportunity to join in the pursuit of a poverty-free world.
FH provides opportunities for Canadians to connect with and when possible to travel to communities in the poorest countries where we fund development work to visit with beneficiaries and FH staff serving them. The purpose is mutual transformation of beneficiaries and visiting Canadians. We also develop relationships with Canadians to support them on their transformational journey.
