Program areas at Food Northwest
Conduct regional conferences and meetings to support the Food processing industry and provide education and information for participants. Events include a regional convention and exposition for the industry with an educational conference and over 300 exhibit booths; workshops; industry networking events; and executive symposia. Industry training courses include global Food safety initiative certification classes, sanitary design, lean training, energy and water efficiency, etc. Trainings are specific and targeted to maintaining a skilled workforce for the Food processing industry.
Provide member services including published newsletters, directories and industry bulletins for the membership of the association. Maintain an industry website.
Provide policy communications and advocacy support as well as technical expertise and program development and management for the industry. Support the policy and technical standing committees. Seek grant opportunities to enhance technical programming on industry issues.
