Program areas at Forever Hope Agency NFP
The organization hosted its annual Back To School Block Party. The event was sponsored by 13 Chicago area companies. Approximately 700 children and families obtained free services or materials, such as Teeth Cleaning, Health Screenings and School Supplies which included 335 Book Bags. Food, games and entertainment were also provided.
The organization sponsored several underprivileged children to participate in the Pro Player Youth Football Camp. The location of the camp, hosted by Echelon Media Sports, was Soldier Field. The participants had the opportunity to practice with professional athletes and coaches and perform on the same field where the Chicago Bears play. The participants were instructed on health maintenance, good nutrition, healthy eating habits and followed with skill exercises.
The organization hosted its annual fundraiser titled Hope Brings Change. The goal of the event is to raise funds to launch an educational enrichment STEM program Science, Technology, Entertainment, Mathematics. The roll-out date is in the fall of year 2017. The Near West Side Community Development Corporation, located at the Jane Adams Community Center, will partner with FHA on this venture.
