Fortis Therapy Center provides pediatric and adult physical therapy and fitness services to families in need at a reduced or zero cost. Our mission is to teach children with cerebral palsy how to walk and become more independent. Currently, our main project is Project Walk which helps children with cerebral palsy learn how to walk using specialized gait equipment. So far, we have provided 776 overall hours of locomotor training and custom physical therapy to 12 children at no cost to their families.

Program areas at Fortis Therapy Center

Project Walk: A pro bono physical therapy program for children that utilizes body weight support treadmill training to increased strength, ROM, coordination, and balance to reach development milestones. This is an ongoing project for Fortis Therapy Center
Adult physical therapy services: 2023 was the first year we had a full time physical therapist addressing the needs of the adult population in our community. We expanding our services and became in network in Medicare, to address the physical therapy needs of those over the age of 65.
Adult fitness services is a post physical therapy program that bridges the gap between physical therapy discharge and return to sport/higher levels of function. Through this program we help adults promote a healthy and active life.
