Foster Source

Foster Source served well over 4000 Foster and kinship caregivers and children with holistic, wrap-around services to stabilize and retain placements. In the learning Source, 3054 class surveys were received from 966 caregivers that were active in 2023. 518 unique families were provided 3,635 hard good items to make placement possible or to maintain placements. Items provided most were diapers, mattresses and car seats. In therapeutic services, 173 new caregivers began receiving therapy, making the total of all time caregivers referred to therapy 541. Foster Source sponsored 2192 therapy sessions in 2023. Eight equine therapy labs were hosted and included a total of 46 participants. Foster Source matched 215 families with respite services for 313 kids. Sixteen families used the agency's new advocacy services. Eight ambassadors in 7 districts were active in 2023 serving 1109 adults and 1793 children over 73 events.
