Fostering Hope Florida, inc.'s approach to improve outcomes for at-risk youth in foster care is to create a system of community-support for foster families and children in foster care. This effort is being pursued through several initiatives: 1) providing community awareness to increase support base and to recruit new foster parents: reached over 1000 people with this campaign. 2) providing free services to children in foster care: served over 300 individuals annually (services include: mentoring, providing necessities: clothing, toiletries, distributing educational material, transportation, providing car seats, beds, toys). 3) operating 3 community supported group homes for children in foster care called Hope houses: provided a home for 30 children
