Voxel Bridge by Jessica AngelVoxel Bridge, by Colombian artist Jessica Angel, is an immersive art installation in Vancouver, BC, launched as part of the Vancouver Biennale. Encompassing 8,000 square feet underneath the busy Cambie bridge, the art explores how public space can be constructed and utilized in both digital and physical realities. The work features a vinyl overlay resembling a circuit board over the ground, columns, and ceilings. Using 20 QR codes displayed throughout the area, viewers can tap into an augmented reality segment to experience animated digital objects all around the space. The installation will be supported until 2023. Trust Graphic Novel by Anne Connelly and Chief NyamweyaTrust is an educational Graphic Novel and motion comic that teaches its readers about blockchain technology via storytelling. Based in a fictional African country facing ecological and cultural degradation, the heroine of the story learns about blockchain technology and its different applications, and uses the technology to maintain community structure in the face of these threats. Trust is available for anyone to read for free digitally, and is also available in a physical format. A series of NFTs featuring artwork from the novel can be purchased and traded. Lost and Found by Various ArtistsA digital painting composed of over 500 pictures of coins found by a group of artists going back to May 2005. Every time another 60 coins are found by the artists, the new pictures will be superimposed on the original piece and sold as a new NFT. Lost and Found is part of the Money River installation by Various Artists, a Brussels based collective of 24 creatives, founded by the late Trudo Engels. Money River is a series of works that examines the financial status of artists.
