Walden's "school-based Eating disorder prevention program" provides schools with Eating disorder prevention and Education. The program includes customized lesson plans geared specifically to students, teachers and caregivers. in addition, the program's design allows for flexible scheduling with our expert educators and consultants, and features half-day, full-day or multiple day programs. Many schools incorporate student lessons into health classes and assemblies, teacher lessons into faculty meetings or training, and caregiver lessons into parent teacher meetings.
Walden center for Education and Research uses targeted private forums and broadcast public messaging to raise awareness of the physical, financial and emotional costs of Eating Disorders. During 2014, the center partnered with aly raisman, olympic gold medalist,to increase awareness of the disorder.
Walden center for Education and Research hosts an annual conference on Eating Disorders. The focus of the conference is on educating professionals about the causes and cures of Eating Disorders.
