Publication - flexo magazine is the official publication of Flexographic Technical association (fta) and its Foundation (ffta) and the voice of the Flexographic printing industry. Flexo is timely, targeted and Technical, reporting on the latest trends and technologies, while providing hard- hitting data and market information to help members get the most out of their printing. Embracing the most sophisticated web-publishing technology, flexo now allows readers to access the entire contents of every issue in clear, crisp color requiring very little bandwidth.
Meeting & exhibits - the forum/infoflex is a thought provoking and energetic conference focused on bringing value to each and every attendee. We're committed to providing key take-aways at each and every session. We have the very best industry leaders and speakers to help us achieve these goals. Our fellow flexographers benefit from the continued education, discussions of new Technical advances and the unique network opportunities.
Training & education - the flexo in education program was established in 1993 with the pilot high school in charlotte, nc. Originally called the flexo in high school program (fihs), the program has grown to include post-secondary schools, as well as high schools. The program was the vision of ron and katherine harper, harper corporation of america, to form a partnership between education and the Flexographic industry to fill the need for trained workers. The program brings together the support of the industry, the Foundation of fta and schools. In order to participate, schools must have an existing printing program and a desire to expand their curriculum to include flexography. The benefits to students and the industry are numerous. Students learn marketable skills so the may enter the workforce upon graduating from school, while the industry benefits through the establishment of trained and skilled individuals with a basic understanding of flexo technology. Currently there are 21 high school program members and 52 post-secondary school program members.
Conferences, seminars and workshops - our aim is to provide attendees with a clear understanding of the entire flexo process, from beginning to end. These gatherings are designed to deliver actionable insights and inspiration to all segments of the Flexographic community. We explore the best practices for enhanced profitability and productivity levels. We offer firm ideas on how to be productive, not just busy. In the end, attendees will leave with crystallized ideas ready to be implemented immediately after the conference. Grants and scholarships awarded - the Foundation of fta (ffta) is committed to promoting and advancing the Flexographic printing process. To demonstrate this commitment, ffta and its affiliates provide more than 25,000 annually toward scholarships for both students and industry professionals. Since 1982, the Foundation of Flexographic Technical association (ffta) has been providing financial aid to students who demonstrate an interest in fields of flexography and/or graphic communications. These scholarships are highly coveted and are available only to select number of students.
