The historic Fox Tucson originally opened in 1930 as southern Arizona's premier movie palace. Following a multi-year renovation project, it reopened as a spectacular live events facility on december 31, 2004. Listed on the national register of historic places and known throughout the u.s. as a Theatre of rare beauty, the venue boasts one-of-a-kind southwestern art-deco decor and near perfect acoustics. Today, the beloved, state of the art facility offers a year-round mix of live entertainment across a wide range of disciplines, classic and contemporary film, community events, and education activities and performances serving nearly 100,000 annually and generating an economic impact of more than $7 million in downtown Tucson. The Fox is truly "the place to be," just as she was in 1930.
