Program areas at Franklin-Simpson Renaissance
Courtyard around courthouse was maintained and decorated seasonally and flowers were distributed around the square to enhance the entire area.
Facade grants were given to businesses around the square to improve the appearance and preserve historic buildings downtown. Sidewalks, benches and the band stand were improved to make downtown more appealing. Catalogues and maps were distributed to help with tourism.
Special events, such as july jam, small town christmas, and summer night concerts, were sponsored to promote culture and enhance the small town atmosphere.
