Description
We are a Christ-centered ministry providing residential recovery programs to the homeless or chemically addicted, food to the hungry, clothing and furniture to the needy and connection within our community through relationships. At the Mission, every program and service is driven by the desire to introduce people to Jesus Christ. Our method to this end is to meet basic human needs and equip others to do the same. The Mission is privately funded, utilizing donations from our community to operate all of our programs and services.

Program areas at Frederick Rescue Mission

Food service: served 89,192 meals to the community and residents. There were 25,926 visits and 88,149 individuals served through the food distribution center. 8,619 bags of food were distributed to community partners.
Changed life recovery: served 81 men in recovery from chemical addiction including 9,039 nights of lodging. There were 15 graduates of the program of whom 13 obtained jobs or became full-time students. 5 residents enrolled in a ged program and 2 residents participated in college prep courses.
Faith house: served 69 women and children in a program for women and children experiencing homelessness, including 7,549 nights of lodging. 30 women obtained jobs or became full-time students. 12 families obtained safe and affordable housing
Community outreach: hosted summer enrichment camps for 65 students. Hosted 2 weekly bible studies for over 100 community members per month. Provided 304 showers to homeless and low-income individuals in the community. Rescued treasures: 40 residents participated in recycling 1,252,040 pounds of donated textiles. Distributed clothing vouchers to 12,339 individuals.
