Broadband infrastructure technician training program: Fresh Start professional services nppsc in partnership w equity in education coalition eec and the filipino community center's fcs innovative learning center have create a workforce development training project targeting formerly incarcerated individuals. This 6mo life soft skill and broadband infrastructure development training project was created to provide life soft skills from Fresh Start PS taking charge of your future curriculum workbook and hand on hard skills training to individuals in the field of broadband infrastructure development and wi-fi system installation. Following completion the students will have developed the digital skillset needed for them to obtain stable living wage employment in the tech sector. This project recruitment 60 participants providing case management essential needed assistance and employment placement to the student following completion.
Digital equity: Fresh Start professional services nppsc and equity in education coalition eec are committed to teaching digital equity and to the basic human right to for understanding digital technology. Through our partnership we have created a workforce development project targeting formerly incarcerated individuals and members of the underserved community. This reentry project formerly incarcerated individuals and members of the underserved community will receive 6 month-per cohort life soft skills from Fresh Start PS taking charge of your future curriculum workbook and hands-on computer competency training that will enable them to develop the digital skillset needed to look for stable living wage employment in the tech sector. This project is targeted to recruitment 100 participants providing case management essential needed assistance and employment placement to the student following completion.
Healthier here: Fresh Start professional services nppsc will host ten community healthcare awareness resource fairs over the course of this project. Through these events Fresh Start PS will educate members of the bipoc and reentry communities about ways to understand their physical mental health and how to identify health insurance plans that are best for them and their families. Attendees will also be able to receive on-site acute healthcare services dental check-up blood pressure covid testing and temperature checks in real time with follow-up appointment referrals. Our community members need support and mentorship to achieve their goals for reentry and reduce their chances of further contact with the criminal legal system. These services are most effective when the individuals who are delivering services have similar lived experiences backgrounds and cultures as the participants. The staff at Fresh Start PS have lived experiences with incarceration reentry and recovery.
