Friends and Volunteers of Refuges Florida Keys

Friends and Volunteers of Refuges- Florida Keys supports National Wildlife Refuges through various means. The Nature Store in the Nature Center at Big Pine Key educates visitors on local wildlife with nature exhibits, interactive displays, and the sale of nature-inspired and educational books, toys, and gifts. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the store is currently closed. Volunteers typically staff the National Wildlife Visitor Center, the Blue Hole Crocodile Lake, as well as assist with habitat restoration efforts. However, these locations were not staffed during the pandemic.
