Friends of 38th raises awareness of the successes and challenges of the street among the broader community, brings great midtown neighborhoods adjacent to 38th Street together with events and new business opportunities, advocates for social engagement. They conducted three separate fundraisers to promote awareness of 38th Street in Indianapolis including a Blues & BBQ event where vendors participated for free to promote their businesses, and helped promote a 5K Turkey Trot race where a donation was made for each registration.
