Program areas at Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control
Volunteer management - our goal is to create and train a team of volunteers who are knowledgeable of canine and feline body language, adept at handling animals in the most humane way, practice science based training methods.
Live release of sheltered animals - we strive to save as many animals as possible. We work with Detroit Animal Care and Control to improve their adoption program. We host adoption events to find homes for needy animals and ease overcrowding.
Fundraising - fodacc seeks to educate the community on Animal adoption. Volunteers canvas the community talking to residents and pass out literature about proper pet ownership. We also use these outreach missions to solicit donations.
