Friends of Monument Valley Park aims to preserve and enhance the public park in Colorado Springs, CO. The organization obtains engineer's drawings to aid in repairs and works with the Colo. Spgs. Parks Department on preservation projects. In addition, they host Musical Mondays, offering free concerts for the entire community during three Mondays in July. They pay bands for rental, obtain necessary permits, and provide porta potty for attendees. Approximately 200-300 people attend each concert.
