All Ages Music Portland had the privilege to act as Fiscal Sponsor for organizations whose mission align with our organization.
2023 Programming Highlights Hosted 27 concerts/events accessible to all ages, where artists were paid for their performances Provided sound services for 118 client events, connecting youth sound engineers and/or youth artists with paid work Hosted 11 BIPOC centered youth open mic events at different venues throughout Portland Entered into a partnership with Worksource Oregon which expanded our sound engineering program by enabling us to provide 24 paid training sessions and more hours of paid work for our teen sound engineers Began work on Rose City Rising II; our second intergenerational collaborative recording project providing youth participants the opportunity to use music for self expression, access to mentorship, and exposure to the steps involved in recording and releasing an album of new music. Advocated for and got youth artists to perform (and be paid) at 3 major festivals in Portland during summer of 2023: Waterfront Blues Fest, Pickathon and PDX Pop Now. This provided exposure to hundreds of audience members. 2 sound engineering workshops for teens (LiveSET) in partnership with Arts for Learning NW DIY PA setup workshop at Lewis and Clark college 48 episodes of Friends of Noise Presents on XRAY.fm, a weekly radio show curated and hosted by youth DJs Launched our Round Trip Tour program: which pays the gas expenses for established youth artists who go on tour in exchange for a free performance at a Friends of Noise concert. Launched a Tiny Table concert series which facilitated teen solo performances (for pay) at restaurants and coffee shops throughout Portland Organizational Growth Hired our third staff member, our Youth Program Coordinator Purchased an electric cargo van with funding support from DEQ's Oregon Clean Fuels program via the Portland General Electric Drive Change Fund Selected to continue the legacy of the nonprofit Rock N Roll Camp for Girls when they closed their doors. Selected to be a participating organization in the Youth Voice Youth Vote Participatory Budgeting program, which awarded us funding to host a Teen Job Fair and concert in 2024 Began the due diligence phase of vetting a building where we will open a community arts venue Collaborations with these partner orgs: A Beat Happening APANO (Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon) Arts for Learning NW Bodecker Foundation Depave East Portland: Our Space of Possibilities Hip Hop for Love Killian Pacific Live Wire Oregon Contemporary Arts Center Patricia Reser Center for the Arts Portland Independent District Commission Portland Sneakerweek Reclaiming Black Joy Initiative Y.O.U.T.H. PDX (Youth Organized and United to Help) Number of people served Audience: 3000, Workshop Participants: 35, Paid Artists: 270, Paid youth sound engineers: 20, Paid youth Djs: 4, 2200 unique participants
