Friends of Tahoe Truckee Waldorf

To meet the communitys needs until another Waldorf school option is available, we created a homeschool enrichment program called Wild River to serve students from TK through eighth grade. Our local Waldorf preschool, Little Gems of the Sierra, was in great need of a home as their lease came to an end and was not being renewed. FOTTW assisted Little Gems with funding to purchase an existing preschool, which secured a lease with additional space to house its 2-3 year olds, and FOTTW also allowed Little Gems to lease space for its TK eligible children at the FOTTW property. We also secured a lease for a location for our homeschool enrichment program. We also fundraised a significant amount in order to offer programming for all students who wanted to attend regardless of income level.
