Friends of the Animal Village

1. Friends of the Animal Village worked to help save over 2800 animals by facilitating their adoption or rescue from the little rock Animal Village through their promotional efforts through various media.2. Nearly 500 animals were microchipped at Friends of the Animal Village events in 2016. A pet with a microchip is far more likely to be reunited with their owner if they become lost and end up at a shelter like the little rock Animal village.3. Over 100 dogs were saved thanks to the Friends of the Animal Village heartworm fund, which is funded by donations and pays for heartworm positive dogs to be treated at no cost to the adopter. Previously, adopting a heartworm positive dog from the little rock Animal Village meant paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars to treat them for heartworms post-adoption, a major expense that resulted in few adoptions of heartworm positive dogs from the little rock Animal Village prior to the heartworm fund being established.
