Program areas at Friends of the Buea School of the Deaf

During 2023, with the financial support of FOBSD, the Buea School for the Deaf has maintained an envrollment of 105 students. Students have thrived, immersed in Cameroonian Sign Language and a welcoming community. They have passed national examinations at a level commensureate with schools for hearing children and have gained certification from the Ministry of Education. An additional current goal is to increase the availability of trained sign language interpreters.
