Program areas at Friends of the Bulverdespring Area Rural Library District
To provide financial support to enhance the Library's resources and programs to promote reading and life-long learning. This includes, but is not limited to, the Library's summer reading program, one book one community program, great decisions program, genealogical and veteran's day programs, gardening programs, holiday programs, concerts and cultural programs. the organization also provides financial support to increase collection materials, business and reference materials, ebooks and audio books, and electronic program databases to meet the specific collection needs of Library patrons, and publication of newspapers on Library programs and resources and community events and information.
To assist the Library by providing or providing funds for the purchase of equipment and items necessary to furnish and maintain the Library and Library campus. Items include audio visual equipment, computers, ipads, furniture, butterfly garden and landscape support, and art display hanging systems. the fol provides support for electronic media support for notifying patrons and the community of Library resources and events. the fol provided equipment and appliances to upgrade the Library's kitchen used by the Library, the fol, and the community for events.
Provision of programs to organization members and patrons beyond those programs offered by the Library. Includes, but is not limited to, cultural/educational field excursions to museums and other educational, programmatic and cultural venues, member appreciation and patron events.
Funds provided to the foundation of the bsb Library, an organization created to solicit large donations to establish and administer an endowment to benefit the Bulverde spring branch Library.
