Program areas at Friends of the Eastern California Museum
Current year's activites include museum maintenance projects, assistance with museum exhibits and various support activities for the Eastern California Museum. Projects continued along with various activities focused on public awareness, preservation, appreciation, and concerns of the history and environment of Owens Valley. Also included is the Organization's final year of participation as a cooperative association with the National Park Service for the enhancement of the Manzanar National Historic Site, including the operation of the site store, various promotional and interpretive activites and hosting guest exhibits and guest speakers. During 2018, work was completed on a new book, "Life After Manzanar",published in 2018.
