Program areas at Frontline Housing

Housing and Savings. Through Frontline Housing, Inc.'s (Frontline) various housing programs, Frontline places families and individuals into permanent housing and enrolls participants in a cash transfer savings program. Frontline conducts outreach at motels, identifying families living in motels as long-term housing. Frontline works with families living in motels to address their barriers to finding housing and assists families with their move in costs once approved for permanent housing. Frontline placed 263 families living in motels into permanent housing. School Social Workers referred families that were coded as homeless in the school system for housing services. Frontline Housing, Inc. placed 88 families referred by the school system into permanent housing. Frontline also placed 96 individuals experiencing homelessness into permanent housing. Once placed into permanent housing, Frontline provides a savings cash transfer program and Financial Well-Being workshops to participants. Families and individuals graduate from the program with stable housing, more knowledge on financial literacy topics such as budgeting, savings, credit, and asset building and with $1,000 in an emergency savings. Frontline Housing, Inc. graduated over 50 individuals and families from the Housing and Savings Programs in 2022.
Financial Well-Being- Through the Financial Achievement Club, Frontline Housing, Inc. provided savings matches to 65 participants in the Metro Atlanta Community. Through the Home Again program, Frontline Housing, Inc. provided rental assistance to residents living in the City of Atlanta. Once stable, residents enrolled in the Financial Achievement Club to learn about budgeting, savings, credit, and home buying. Participants earned up to a $500 savings match. Through the New Neighborhood Program, Frontline Housing, Inc. provided residents in apartment complexes with organized events and access to financial well-being workshops and classes. Residents participated in community events and enrolled in the Financial Achievement Club to build an emergency savings.
Victims of Crime Act- Frontline Housing, Inc. provides housing assistance to victims of domestic violence and trafficking. Through the Victims Legal Assistance Network (VLAN) Frontline receives referrals for Survivors in need of rental assistance, utility assistance, move in fees, and other housing related needs. Frontline provided assistance to 121 households that are Survivors of Domestic Violence.
Permanent Housing- Frontline Housing, Inc. master leased units from apartments to provide low barrier housing for families and individuals that may not be approved for an apartment based on recent evictions or barriers on their credit. Frontline Housing, Inc. placed 36 families into permanent housing that were living in motels and working, but unable to be approved at apartment complexes due to barriers on their background. During the year 2022, Frontline Housing had a total of 22 units in Clayton, Dekalb and Fulton County. 19 units were allocated for families living in motels and 3 units were allocated for a total of 9 individuals to each have their own bedroom. Once placed, Frontline Housing, Inc. works with families and individuals to improve their savings and achieve their own housing at the end of their lease term with Frontline Housing, Inc.
