Program areas at Functional Industries

The dream program has merged 245d licenses connecting opportunities for individuals in our day supports services program and our work training program. This movement has opened up opportunities for more choices and options for the individuals served in our dream program. Individuals now have an opportunity to try out and adjust their schedule to be able to experience enrichment opportunities and/or work training opportunities. This change was effective in january of 2024 and has shown to be a positive move for individuals served.
Throughout the past year, we have increased our direct support professionals. This has lead to success with decreasing our waitlist and bringing in 14 new individuals from our waitlist. Being able to have more staff means more opportunities for the individuals within our programs and more individuals we can serve in our day supports program and also in the community.
Functional Industries expanded on community involvement opportunities this year by participating in local volunteer opportunities. One of the opportunities was for feed my starving children at a local church. Total our team packaged 1,740 meals at a mobilepack event! Fii also participated third year in a row in the buffalo, mn polar plunge event raising $5,545.54! In addition we have participated in disability services day at the capitol to advocate for disability services on a legislative level and also donating time to assist with toys for tots through our local rotary club.
