Professional issues:programs that honor and support members of the foreign service as a profession including the awards program, the memorial plaque, foreign affairs day, and various special events.
Essay contest:the foreign service national high school essay contest began as a program of the 75th anniversary celebration and has been continued by the Fund due to its success. The contest is open to u.s. students in grades nine through twelve and includes cash prizes.
