Critical material supply mission: to provide critical supplies to The volunteers in ukraine who did not otherwise have an organization that would be able to support them with critical life saving equipment needed to perform their jobs at The frontline. Accomplishment: our organization helpeed hundreds of individual volunteers that The organization knew from their network on The ground. All of them were experienced volunteers that did not yet have an organizational structure that would be able to cover their equipment needs such as medical supplies, ppe equipment, winter clothing, and others. All requests were enterained by our organization. Effect: we were one of The few organizations at that critical time that had The capability to move quickly and support these fearless volunteers. We established ourselves early as The reliable partner to help with critical lifesaving equipment. As The situation improved, we continued this operation a a lesser scale. Costs: costs incurred in this accomplishment were strictly in The procurement/purchasing of medical supplies, ppe equipment, winter clothing, and others, which approximates 43,550. About 1,450 was for supports cost related to project implementation.
Hot food for newly liberated kharkiv mission: The shipment of 400,000 packs of instant noodle soups to The kharkiv region when it was newly liberated from russian aggression. Accomplishment: we worked with our local partners who had these soups stuck in The port in gdansk, poland. They needed to raise The funds to get them customs cleared and shipped to ukraine. Working with greg hold, we raised The funds and were able to get them into ukraine. Effect: this was a very critical time when these villages had not been resupplied in months. We worked with The local government on The best distribution plan and it was hugely successful. The cost of 12,552 includes customs clearing, shipping, local support, and supervision, plus 1,200 in ancilery costs such as local transporatation for support and other related costs.
A total of 7 trips from europe to The usa mission: beginning in april we realized The need for special supplies for frontline volunteers. The advent of war in ukraine had a devastating effect on The supply chain for thousands of critical items, both because of The massive increase in demand as well as The closing of The ports and airports to cargo. We reached out to The volunteers we supported and offered to bring these critical items from The usa to ukraine. Accomplishment: these volunteers could order items from online shops in The usa and get them shipped to our location in new jersey. Then, approximately every month, we would get a flight and hand carry these critical pieces from new jersey and deliver them directly to The volunteers in ukraine. From start to finish, each trip took about 10 days. We would mobilize in ukraine, get a flight to The usa, pack all The items, and go back to ukraine. Effect:on each trip we would bring about 700 lbs of cargo with thousands of individual items which included medical items, clothing, engineering items, ppe, and others. Costs: The costs included in these accomplishment include air fares of 9,000, transportation costs (auto, gas, trains, etc.) Of 3,000, and ancillary costs such as lodging and meals of 3,000.
