Program areas at Future Farmers of America - Laramie County Community College

The Wyoming Ffa has 3,799 members and organizes and conducts the Wyoming state Ffa convention annually in april. Wyoming Ffa members from across the state attend the convention to compete in career development events (cdes), speaking contests, and proficiency contests. Approximately 1,400 Ffa members participate in the convention each year. Nine elected Wyoming Ffa Association officers attend the national Ffa convention in november. The Wyoming Ffa associatin hosts a leadership conference for Ffa members each fall. The fire/ice conference provides opportunities for members to improve their leadership skills and share ideas with fellow Ffa members. Approximately 600 Ffa members attend the leadership conference each year.
The Wyoming Ffa Association's nine elected officers serve in one-year positions to provide leadership to the organization. These officers are involved in a variety of state-wide events throughout the year. The officer team is advised by the state Ffa advisor and staff hired for the fall leadership conference and the state Ffa convention. Funding for the state Ffa advisor position is provided by a grant from the Wyoming department of education. The state Ffa officer functions are funded through public support, membership dues and event registration fees.
The Wyoming Ffa Association utilizes the services of a public relations coordinator to work with the state Ffa officer team on media communications, facebook page management, and website support. With the help of the pr coordinator, the state Ffa officer team advocates for Ffa and agriculture and shares information to grow the Wyoming Ffa membership.
All Wyoming students that pay membership dues to the Wyoming Ffa Association are members of the national Ffa organization and are represented on voting issues by the delegate body (two representatives from each state). The Wyoming Association remits each member's national Ffa dues to the national Ffa organization on behalf of Wyoming Ffa members.
