The Gadsden Arts Centers mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of the visual arts to improve the quality of life in Gadsden County and the region. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO ENHANCE ARTS EDUCATION, PROVIDE CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES, AND STIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE COMMUNITY. The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum is nationally accredited by the american alliance of museums. It attracts 18,000+ participants annually for exhibitions, education programs, cultural enrichment, and social events. Positive impacts of Gadsden Arts include tourism and economic development, downtown revitalization, promotion of our region's artistic talent, educational, social, and philanthropic opportunities. The Museum is widely recognized for its quality exhibitions, historic building and setting, wide-reaching education programs, and professional staff.
The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum is the main provider of art education in Gadsden county, Florida, bringing art-making and interpretive learning experiences to everyone, from young children through college students, adults, senior citizens. Educational experiences with art are fun, and are shown to improve self-esteem, boost academic performance, combat anxiety and depression, and bring people together. Year-round programs are offered at the Museum in studios and galleries, in schools, at partners' sites, online, and at home, designed to improve quality of life for everyone through art.
The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum is nationally accredited, it is uniquely qualified to host major exhibitions with rich historical and cultural content. These exhibitions bring centuries of human experience and culture to our region, offering educational and enriching experiences for people of all ages. Gadsden Arts also hosts exhibitions of local and regional art, promoting current creative production and contemporary culture. 15+ exhibitions each year, presented with associated programs and events, drive tourism and downtown revitalization for quincy and Gadsden county.
