Program areas at Aces in Motion

Health - Believing in the transformative power that sport can provide, we use the sport of tennis to reinforce the skills, values, and life lessons that are taught throughout the other parts of our program (academics & character development). Tennis is provided in the form of private and group instruction, Junior Team Tennis leagues, tournament play, summer camps, and community tennis events. We employ certified tennis instructors and comply with the USTAs most up to date recommendations on industry standards.
Academic Programming The academic component holds the largest emphasis in our programming, as we believe education is foundational to a students success. Academic support is provided in the way of tutoring, standardized test preparation, college application and scholarship assistance, in-school assistance in classrooms and administration, and providing resources such as computers and material to complete homework and projects. We also work with the parents and school district to monitor and track academic outcomes such as grades, GPA, attendance, and behavior reports to provide a holistic approach to the students success. Parental involvement in their childs educational process is a requirement for participation in the program.
Character Development is a foundational component to our programming as it allows for our students, staff, and volunteers to build relationships through shared experiences in extracurricular activities, mentoring opportunities, college tours, community service, character development instruction, and first time exposure opportunities. What makes our program unique is the emphasis and intentionality on using our enrichment activities for teachable moments as a way to reinforce these skills and values.
