Engagement and community building - university of Florida hillel (uf hillel) offers Jewish gators diverse opportunities to engage in vibrant Jewish life. At a university as large as uf, uf hillel provides Jewish students with community and connection. Through regular community building programs, public space engagement efforts, and a team of professional and Student leaders who work to build relationships with students, uf hillel's approach guides each Student to find their place in the Jewish community. Uf hillel also provides work opportunities for students, enabling them to engage iin Jewish life and simultaneously support themselves financially.
Israel education & travel - through diverse programming on campus, uf hillel educates students and strengthens their personal connection with israel. Uf hillel also coordinates israel travel experiences for Jewish and non-jewish students that educate students about israel and strengthen their Jewish identity. Each year, uf hillel takes over 400 students to israel on birthright israel, our onward israel summer internship program in tel aviv, our fact finders experience for non-jewish Student leaders, and other programs.
Jewish life & learning - uf hillel's Jewish educational and religious programs help connect students with Jewish tradition, deepen their Jewish identity and build Jewish community. Uf hillel empowers hundreds of students each year through fellowships and internships in Jewish learning, community organizing, social justice, israel, and more; serves thousands of shabbat and holiday meals; and supports the work of hundreds of Student leaders who oversee a full calendar of programming. Through this wide range of offerings, uf hillel works to ensure every Jewish gator is inspired to find their own voice and relationship with judaism.
