Since 1965, Garvey Manor's mission has been to provide personal and professional quality care in an atmosphere which reflects christ's compassion, love, and concern for the elderly. Garvey Manor is served in ministry by the carmelite sisters for the aged & infirm whose philosophy of care is inherent in all policies and practices promulgated within the facility. Garvey Manor participates in the medicare and medicaid programs and welcomes all applicants for admission regardless of race, sex, religious affiliation, physical handicap, or financial status. Our services and programs are primarily for the geriatric population seeking long-term care, personal care, or independent living. Garvey Manor Nursing Home, inc. is co-sponsored by the carmelite sisters for the aged & infirm and the diocese of altoona-johnstown.
