Program areas at Gateways Access to Jewish Education
Student and family services (sfs): the Gateways student and family services programs include our day school program and Gateways Jewish Education programs through which we deliver direct services To children and their families. The Gateways day school program provides in-school special Education services which make it possible for children with diverse learning needs To Access a Jewish Education. The Gateways Jewish Education programs offer thematic Jewish Education curriculum in a specialized structured small class setting which emphasizes individualized attention To students ages 4-18.
The Gateways peer development initiative is targeted towards building a more inclusive Jewish community by educating all youth and teens about disabilities and differences. Gateways teen programs include a sunday volunteer program where teen volunteers work directly with special needs students; teen madrichim, a specialized program which trains educators on how To empower high school students To work with students who present with learning challenges in supplemental schools; and a collaborative board with jtfgb, a teen philanthropy program.
The center for professional learning (cpl): Gateways provides in-person coaching and consultation, educational workshops and webinars with Gateways experts, along with curriculum units and online community platforms, resources and tools for school leaders, teachers, and families.
