Creating a community of british entrepreneurs, investors and executives involved in technology in the san francisco bay area: one of our main activities since inception, led by the executive director "ed" with assistance from the board, has been to create a community of british entrepreneurs, investors and senior corporate executives involved in the technology sector in the san francisco bat area (the "bay area"). British entrepreneurs who have founded tecnology companies or work have recently arrived from the united kingdom "uk" who want to connect with the bay area technology community. The initial task in accomplishing this objetive has been to raise awareness of GBX.

Support british technology entrepreneurs: another main activity of GBX is to use the experience of members, many of whom are leaders in their fields, to mentor and encourage a new generation of technology entrepreneurs. New members are asked to list their areas of expertise for mentoring purposes, and are connected with other members seeking advice and support on a range of technology and emerging company issues.

Creating forums for members to share knowledge: GBX provides forums for members to share expertise and experiences, so that members can understand how others have solved issues they have encountered and members can collaborate to find creative solutions to the challenges they face. Accordingly, GBX has organized member events to bring members together around particular functional topics of current relevance to the technology community. The ed works with the events committee on program topics and logistics. Events are held in sanfrancisco and silicon valley. In 2017 eight events were held.
