Program areas at Gem City Kitties
Gem City vet opened in august of 2021 and provides routine, low-cost veterinary care to pets in low-income families (families who meet the federal income levels for poverty).
The trap, neuter, return (tnr) program teaches volunteer citizens classes about tnr. Volunteers can then rent discounted traps and we provide the spay/neuter surgery for the cat.
The adoption program intakes cats from shelters and rescues and provides all vet care necessary to prepare the cat for adoption. The cats are then matched with adopters.
