Parties - Adult and Children Socials once nnn ncn cen ee nnn ne nena cannes Children’s parties are usually theme parties around a holiday - Easter, Christmas, etc. There are also two summer parties for childrer usually at a water park or baseball game Adult social events include tailgate parties coupled with sporting events; wine tasting tours; harbor dinner cruise; mystery dinner theater, tuaus, Included in Adult events are fishing trips and an occasional holiday Cookie Exchange The ERA sells tickets to the events for a reduced amount of money per ticket and subsidize the rest from the dues and vending
The ERA also runs a Members only store to sell discount uckets for attractions in the Southern California area, such as Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, The San Diego Zoo, movie theaters, etc. The stores also carry logo times for sale - shirts, hats dackets, clocks, throw blankets, sports bags, pen/pencil sets, etc. California sales taxes are collected & paid on the logo wear items The 4 locations are staffed by employees of a temp agency called Employnet, who handles all of the Payroll taxes and W2s Their wages are paid from the vending concession commissions, as the stores makes very little money from sales They are paid mileage for driving around in the performance of their work - delivering goods to other offices, going to the bank Shopping to buy additional inventory to sell in the stores, etc. In 2017, the expenses included: Cost of Goods sold (122108); wages and mileage (2398). The revenue came from the logo items sold. No money is made on the discounted tickets
The ERA's other activity is Club support. The General Atomics Recreation Association currently sponsors 13 active clubs & 1s in the the process of establishing two more.. The clubs’ income (dues, etc.) and expenses (sports equipment, leaque fees, stip fees for the Sailing club's boats, boat maintenance costs, contest awards, judging expenses, etc.) are included in this consolidated tax return The ERA Board provides each club that files the appropriate paperwork each year, a small stipend. The clubs £an request additional funding contingent upon filing additional paperwork, The annual budget for club support is usually funding requests is usually at $
