Program areas at Generation Diamond Corporation
Generation Diamond exists to empower adults who are 19 and older through transitional programs and service to succeed in building a secure and stable future. We assist with immediate needs after significant disruptions and offer longer-term programs that provide intentional support, direction and hope. Generation Diamond provides hot meals, bus passes, clothing, hygiene support (including showers), job search assistance, personal documentation including a state ID and birth certificate and employment preparation. During 2023, a) 231 people utilized Generation Diamond's self-sufficiency case management program that helps clients prepare for and find work, transportation to doctor's appointments, clothing assistance, economic assistance to obtain State ID, birth certificate, and applying for social security. In addition, some of these participants in the case management program were referred to different programs and services in the community to obtain housing assistance, medicaid assistance, phone services, drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation treatment centers, and employment opportunties; b) 73 people utilized Generation Diamond's tattoo removal program to better present themselves to potential employers; c) 2,942 people benefited from the hygiene services provided by Generation Diamond; and d) 4,191 meals were served to individuals and provided by Little Ceasars, Stephen Center, and Whispering Roots.
Mental Health - Generation Diamond has a new partnership with United Healing Counseling, LLC. Maria Elena Correa with United Healing helps Generation Diamond by providing Trauma group therapy for participants needing Mental Health assistance. The therapy groups are also supported by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). During 2023, there were 964 Mental Health therapy session attendees.
