In 2023, Generation W set new standards as reported by attendees for the quality of the speakers and conversations that continue to engage, educate, connect and inspire.while every year's theme is resonant, this year was very special as we built on Generation wow's ethos of the positive and the possible. We celebrated the 11th anniversary of the launch of Generation wow, a reminder and elevation of what can be accomplished when you look through the lens of positivity to see just what can be possible. Over 12,000 girls have been touched by this program, as well as thousands of women and families who have been fortunate to be in the Generation W and wow community.generation wow is girl inspired movement that exposes girls to the positive and the possible by creating opportunities for learning, inspiration, and mentor connections with women leaders. To date, Generation wow has reached thousands of girls across the country through its comprehensive platform that includes: a year-round curriculum, national leadership events, wow clubs, quarterly events, learning excursions, dedicated mentorship, and community service projects. In 2023, Generation wow hosted two events in orlando, fl and in jacksonville, fl where over 1,500 girls and 250 mentors were able to inspire and forge meaningful connections with the female leaders of the future.in addition to the events, Generation wow hosts after-school programs utilizing our own unique curriculum focused on fostering leadership, mental well-being, financial literacy, and college/career planning. In 2023 the program participation grew to over 800 girls involved in 35 middle and high schools across orlando and jacksonville.we were excited in 2023 to announce the launch of a campaign called multiply the wow which is focused on raising over $3 million to support the efforts to share the wow more deeply and more broadly. It was appropriate that the grant's launch was announced at Generation W, a program whose net proceeds have funded and supported Generation wow's operations to enhance the lives of girls and the communities.in 2023 our virtual series refresh provided invaluable opportunities for the W community to convene, pose questions, and connect deeply with esteemed guests across diverse fields. The bi-weekly zoom and facebook live event embraced pivotal themes such as leadership, entrepreneurship, women's health, mental well-being, and strategies for a good life.in one of our most fulfilling days of service, Generation works is a dedicated day led by women and girls with the objective of bringing sustainable change and impact on our neighborhoods. In partnership with deutsche bank, on september 9, 2023 over 250 volunteers participated to revitalize, repair, and work their magic to transform our jacksonville for the greater good. Schools, parks, and local charitable organizations alike benefited from this collective outpouring of time, effort, and goodwill.
