Program areas at GeoParadise
Tribal gathering("tg- or the "event") is the main program and is the starting point where the rest of the charitable projects are forged with the indigenous communities. In a typical year, there is an annual gathering of indigenous people from many countries and continents and paid attendees. The gathering creates a harmonious space for intercultural exchange. Tribal gathering is an annual gathering that brings together approximately 50 tribes from more than 40 countries. During the gathering, tribes people hold workshops and presentations on various aspects of indigenous art and culture. There are other workshops throughout the event to educate the general public on environmental and social issues, nutrition, health and sustainable development. In 2023 tribal gathering was hosted in a different location and dates to coincide with the path of the totality of the solar eclipse in octber 2023. Nevertheless during this fiscal year, the team still spent a considerable amount of hours working on tg related tasks; cleaning, maintenance and inventory of tg event equipment, conditioning of the premises for the new permanent tg headquarters and movement of tg storage containers from the old basecamp to the new one, communication with the indigenous tribes, musicians, artists and performers for the 2023 event, and creating tg related content through newsletters and planning for the upcoming festival.
