Program areas at Georgia Council on Economic Education
Workshops: the Council supports twelve centers for Economic Education on college and university campuses in Georgia. It conducts workshops to assist teachers with Economic concepts and teaching methods. The Council has delivered 177 workshops and served 3,676 teachers during 2023.
Materials development and distribution: the Council prepares, purchases and distributes resource materials on economics to benefit students and teachers.
Special programs: the Council conducts programs including the creation and implementation of materials utilizing all types of media methods to teach economics and personal finance in the classroom. They also sponsor activities such as the stock market game, the economics challenge, the personal finance challange, the econ games, mini-society and manufacturing study tours.
